Sickness and accidents at school

Sick children should be cared for at home whenever possible. Minor injuries or illnesses that occur during the school day are typically addressed in the school’s sick bay. In the case of more serious injuries, we will contact the parent to arrange for the child to be picked up. If a parent is unable to collect their sick child, we will reach out to the emergency contacts listed on the enrolment form. In extreme emergencies, if parents cannot be reached, the child may be taken to a hospital or doctor. Please make sure to provide an emergency contact number to the school and keep it updated. This includes any changes to your address or other relevant contact information.  # Attach link to parent information brochure

Medical conditions, allergies and Medications

Students with asthma, diagnosed medical conditions, or allergies (including anaphylaxis) are required to have an Emergency Medical Action Plan in place. This plan must be developed in consultation with the student’s family doctor to ensure correct management in case of an emergency. Medication forms must also be completed alongside the Emergency Medical Action Plan to ensure accurate documentation.

Short term medication

Before any short-term medication can be administered, parents must complete the necessary paperwork, providing details on dosage, timing, and any other relevant information. The required form can be found on our website or at the front office.
